Motability

With the Motability Scheme, disabled people can transfer their mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. Insurance, breakdown assistance, replacement tyres, repairs and servicing are all included as part of the lease. Parents and carers can drive on behalf of the disabled person, so non-drivers can apply.

Clients may be eligible to join the Motability Scheme if they receive either the:

·         Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA),

·         Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP),

·         War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS),

·         Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).

As a national charity (Registered Charity No. 299745), Motability also raises funds and provides financial assistance to those who may otherwise be unable to afford the cost of larger cars, vehicle adaptations, driving lessons and wheelchair accessible vehicles. For more information, visit the Motability stand 30 or go to motability.org.uk.
